GILI HIDEAWAY RESORT

Gili Hideaway is a unique resort
of four boutique bungalows located on the paradise island of
Gili Trawangan.
Tucked away off the ‘main road’ and just a 2-minute walk
away from the white sandy beach is a peaceful secluded
haven.

Escape and relax in the sanctuary of Gili Hideaway while
enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of the thatched
wooden bungalows laid out in a lovely tropical garden.
Gili Hideaway offers its guests comfort and luxury with a
cosy personal touch.

Hideaway Rooms
Attention has been paid to the design of Gili Hideaway’s
four bungalows. Natural materials have been incoporated to a
large extent to ensure that the buildings reflect the
compound’s surroundings.

The simplicity and elegance of each bungalow are its
attraction. Mosquito nets, overhead fans, window sofas,
open-air showers, and outdoor bathrooms enhance the comfort
and distinctive nature of each room.
The rooms may be rented individually or, if catering to a
large party, all four rooms maybe rented as a private villa.

Food & Drink

A select menu is available to choose from which includes
Indonesian and Western dishes.

A variety of drinks are also available, including beer, soft
drinks and seasonal fruit juices.
Green Initiatives
Resources on the island, such as electricity, are very
limited. With this in mind, Gili Hideaway has sought to
minimise its burden on these resources and reduce the carbon
footprint of its guests.
While other lodgings take pride in providing
air-conditioning, for example, a ceiling fan is thought to
be sufficient, offering guests an escape from modern day
life, and an opportunity to enjoy a more natural
environment. Indeed, very often even a fan is unnecessary in
the early hours of the morning, as the thatched roof and
wooden structure allow air to ‘breathe’ through the
bungalows naturally.

Old antique objects, such as doors and lesung have been
incorporated in the design and decoration of the resort. As
well as finding a use for these discarded items and reusing
them, they in fact enhance the natural beauty of the
compound.
Towels are changed every four days, unless otherwise
requested by the guests. This cuts down on the electricity
and water consumed to wash the towels, which in some hotels
and villas can be done on a daily basis, creating a huge
unnecessary strain on resources

Recycling is another system we implement to mininise the
waste produced and disposed of on the island. Designated
recycle bins are provided on the grounds and guests are
encouraged to make full use of them.
Safety precautions
Fire extinguishers are provided in every bungalow as well as
in the communal areas.

+ Two Bungalows
In addition to the four main bungalows located in the Gili
Hideaway compound, one double and one twin ‘A-frame’
thatched bungalows, are available to rent in an adjoining
complex.
While not as spacious, these bungalows feature outdoor
open-air bathrooms and showers and are also set in a
tropical garden.
Guests staying in the + Two bungalows however, will not have
access to the facilities provided for Gili Hideaway guests.
